Brazil. Between Fatigue: towards to the new forms of life, Palace of Culture for the Railway Workers, Ekaterinburg, 2017

ZIP group borrows the title from Terry Gilliam’s film, an anti-utopia about the world, seized by clerks and bureaucracy, in order to find breaks in the routine and orderly everyday, in its constituent objects — the possibilities for utopian and revolutionary. Trying to kill the fly, the hero of the Gilliam’s Brazil puts a drawer unit on the table and makes a mistake that has shaken the established system. ZIP group character erects barricades from them: office furniture becomes the ideal model of the post-labor world, where the workplace from the tool of exploitation turns into a tool of fight. Figures and schemes on these barricades tell about the structure of the Workers’ Club in this utopian future, future without bosses and subordinates, without exploitation and alienation, without fatigue.
